On Monday, September 29, Alliance President & CEO Kelly O’Brien spoke on  a panel at the EDA Chicago Region Economic Development District (EDD) Peer Learning Conference, organized jointly by US EDA and the National Association of Development Organizations (NADO) at the Knickerbocker Hotel in downtown Chicago. The conference provided a forum for economic development stakeholders throughout EDA’s six-state Chicago Region to share challenges, solutions, and best practices.

O’Brien took part in the panel, “Working with University-Based EDA Centers: Observations and Experiences”, and noted in her comments the importance of private-sector leadership and institutional partners in regional collaboration. The panel was moderated by Bo Beaulieu, Director of the Purdue Center for Regional Development, a key Alliance partner.
