On July 13th 2016, the Alliance held a special half-day conference focusing on the implementation of the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) in the tri-state region organized by the Alliance’s Workforce Development Team. The Midwest Administrator for the Department of Labor, Ms. Christine Quinn, joined the Alliance for a morning of discussion on the implementation of this new law throughout not only our Tri-State Region, but also all of Region V, which encompasses Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Wisconsin.
